A quote on the world of the wild goes as such: “If Size mattered, The Elephant would be the King of The Jungle” – indeed, rightfully expressed!!

With their distinctive massive built that constitutes their huge bodies, large ears, long trunks, and of course their most priceless pair of extended ivory teeth, coined with quite a cautiously slow walk with the herd -as if on a casual stroll- the planet’s largest land mammals with an incredible bout of memory & extremely wondrous blessed being that can be modestly to decently domesticated, is the most sought out animal, by both young and old alike amongst humans, bereft of age. Forever a breath-taking & awe-inspiring is their scenic sight as a group that speaks volumes of innate leadership quality & unity. “When there is Magic, there is Faith; when there is Faith, Miracles happen” – so goes a saying, in particular, on this herd of blessed mammals, that tags along collectively with usually all the mother elephants and their young baby-calves, with the females, young & old, sticking together & staying in the herd dedicatedly forever, that’s always led by the matriarch, being the oldest female. Basically they are quite family-oriented by nature once they get a palpable mate & a family.

This piece of art in particular draws in strong messages of bonding – yet on how the artist did so with such a simple complimenting dark backdrop with clutches of just few grass-blades, is quite intriguing. In short, just goes to show that the whole throw of focus is on the emotional happiness of this particular family of the elephants that per se is quite deftly portrayed. The befitting framework also somehow brings out live on the closeness of the group – clasped aptly within the frame of the image.

By the overall uniquely special physical features of these amazingly abominable creatures, it could be identified & viably drawn to a conclusion that they are Asian – more or less to be precise, the Indian Elephants; as they bear a friendlier appearance in contrast to the wild huger African Elephants. The most innocently striking feature in the image is the manner in which the beauty of the little bundles of joy have been brought out, that are placed on either side of the senior-tusked elephants – the adorable calves. Though comparatively older by just a few years, the undoubtedly younger elephant in the center, sporting much smaller pair of tusks, gives a feel that it’s either a “teenage’ trouble-maker or a junior that’s either at unease or less bolder, preferring to walk amidst & in between the senior elephants, as the calf likes to be touched often by its mother or a relative. Walking in absolute peaceful togetherness as a contented family, led by the immensely bigger in appearance a docile creature of the wild in liberty, wherein the “live” gait of confidence is well captured, it is indeed quite a magnificent sight to behold – an image exquisitely bringing out the reals from the reels, in the mind; heartening & soulful. The artist’s effort here speaks high volumes of hidden exuberance that is quite felt within an aesthete - equally commendable.

Bringing in conclusion likewise towards a thoughtful prowess perhaps within the artist, on a strongly elephantrelated quote by one venerated Soul of India that resonates profound notes of in-depth reverberation - which goes like this: “If you cannot find a good companion to walk with, walk alone like an elephant roaming the jungle. It is better to be alone than to be with those who will hinder your progress” - Buddha.
